About Me

Portrait of Nedim Numanovic

I'm a software developer and Computer Science graduate from Georgia State University. Most days I work across the stack with Java, Python, and JavaScript—mobile apps, services, APIs, and the data work that ties them together. I like owning a problem end to end: understanding what "done" actually means, designing something that can grow without turning into spaghetti, and writing code the next person can pick up without a treasure hunt.

I gravitate toward better workflows, sensible architecture, and connecting different technologies so the system matches what the business needs. Recently that's meant a lot of real-time updates and offline-aware behavior. On CheckIn, check-ins had to stay dependable when the network didn't cooperate; our team took second place at GSU's Spring 2026 CS Demo Day.

AI Study Assistant for Obsidian

TypeScript Obsidian Plugin API Gemini API esbuild CSS
GitHub

A custom Obsidian plugin that integrates Gemini directly into the note-taking workflow. Users can highlight text in a note and generate plain-English explanations, concise summaries, study flashcards, quiz questions, or custom responses.

  • Built AI actions for selected text through the command palette and editor menu
  • Added Gemini-powered explain, summarize, flashcard, quiz, and custom question modes
  • Created a right-side assistant panel with selected-text preview and markdown-rendered responses
  • Implemented follow-up chat that keeps context from the original highlighted note
  • Added copy-to-clipboard and one-click insertion back into the active note
  • Built native Obsidian settings for API key, model, max tokens, and panel options
